One of the most interesting developments of the last decade

has been the convergence of information technology and media. Computer applications used to be isolated processes that solved specific types of computational or data storage problems. In the meantime it has become apparent that information technology is principally a set of techniques to achieve better corporate communication, both within and outside the organization.
